Volunteer Opportunity: Friendly Organizing & Moving Support Volunteer
Location: Clackamas County, OR (In-Person)
Commitment: Flexible schedule, ongoing support
Volunteer Role: Companion & Organizing Assistant
Are you someone who enjoys helping others create calm and order during challenging life transitions? We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to assist an older adult participant who recently experienced a major housing transition and would benefit from support organizing and unpacking belongings in their apartment.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist with sorting and organizing household items
- Help unpack boxes and arrange belongings
- Provide encouragement and friendly companionship during visits
- Support the participant in creating a comfortable and functional living space
Ideal Volunteer:
- Patient, kind, and dependable
- Able to assist with light organizing tasks
- Comfortable visiting a home with friendly household pets
- Respectful of participant privacy and dignity
Important Notes:
- No personal care, medical assistance, heavy lifting, or transportation is required.
- Volunteer will receive orientation and ongoing support from the Volunteer Services team.
- Must comply with all Providence volunteer requirements, including screening and training.
