A Healthier, Happier Me (AHHM) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering individuals from marginalized communities with the resources and knowledge needed for physical and emotional well-being. Our mission is to eliminate the barriers to optimal health and happiness by providing interactive, informative, and fun programs. Through custom-tailored activities, we aim to address the specific health challenges faced by our participants, enhancing their overall well-being.

Role Description

As an Event Support Volunteer, you'll be an essential part of our efforts to promote health and happiness within our community. Your role will involve assisting with event setup, drawing in attendees to the table, entering student information, distributing materials, and helping with event cleanup. Working closely with our organization's founder who will be present at the event, you'll ensure the smooth running of our tabling session and help create memorable experiences for all participants.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to/within Atlanta, GA, with own method of transportation
• Dependable and punctual with a strong commitment to fulfilling volunteer responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with attendees in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and setting up event materials
• Passionate about promoting health and happiness, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the community
• Healthcare experience is a plus
• Also seeking event photographer/videographer: must have access to photography/videography equipment (this will not be provided to the volunteer) and have proficiency operating equipment with strong technical skills in photo and video editing
