    Description

Are you someone who loves working with animals? Looking to contribute to a nonprofit organization while making a difference in key lives? We want to hear from you!

We are currently looking for a Remote Volunteer Communications + Intake Coordinator to join our team at Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue.

    About Us:

Chester’s Corner Rescue Foundation is a dedicated non-profit organization specializing in animal rescue and rehabilitation. Our mission is to provide abandoned animals with medical care, emotional support, and a path toward finding loving, permanent homes. We take pride in helping these animals transition into healthier, happier lives. Every effort we make is driven by compassion and a commitment to the welfare of animals in need.

    How You Will Contribute:

    Purpose:

Handles all incoming volunteer applications and inquiries for Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue, serving as the first point of contact for prospective volunteers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive and manage emails sent to volunteer@chesterscorner.org
    • Send professional approval or decline responses to applicants
    • Conduct initial screening and phone interviews with prospective volunteers
    • Assess applicants for fit and alignment with available volunteer roles (e.g., Adoption, Foster, General Volunteer)
    • Pass all candidates and screening notes to leadership for final approval before onboarding

    Immediate Ownership:

This role owns the initial screening and communication process. Onboarding and final approvals are completed by leadership.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 1–2 years of prior experience conducting phone or in-person interviews
    • Strong professional communication skills (email and phone)
    • Ability to assess candidate fit and alignment with organizational values
    • Self-starter with strong initiative — able to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and follow through without constant supervision
    • Comfortable managing confidential information
    • Must have a working phone and computer with reliable internet
    • Must reside in the United States and be available during Pacific Standard Time hours

    Commitment Details:

    • Approximately 2–4 hours per week
    • Flexible scheduling
    • Work is completed remotely

    How to Apply:

Please send an email to volunteer@chesterscorner.org with your resume and a short introduction of yourself and why you are interested in volunteering with Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue.
