    Description

    Talented and Creative Fundraiser

Are you a passionate and creative individual with a knack for raising funds? Do you have a heart for empowering young women and making a tangible difference in their lives? Machiah's House is seeking a talented fundraiser to help us fulfill our mission of providing a safe, supportive environment for young women aged out of foster care as they transition into adulthood.

    ABOUT MACHIAH'S HOUSE:

Machiah's House, Inc. is an established 501c3 organization committed to serving young women who have aged out of the foster care system. These women face numerous challenges, from securing stable housing to accessing educational and career opportunities. We're in need of securing funding for a safe transitional home to provide life skills training, and a community of support to help them build a brighter future.

    VOLUNTEER ROLE/DUTIES TALENTED FUNDRAISER:

    • Fundraising Campaign Development: Design, implement, and manage creative and impactful fundraising campaigns to help us raise funds for our transitional home, meet daily operational responsibilities, and life skills programs. This includes crafting compelling messages and utilizing diverse fundraising strategies such as social media outreach, email marketing, and community events.
    • Donor Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors. Create personalized thank you messages, newsletters, and progress reports that show the impact of their support.
    • Event Planning: Organize and coordinate fundraising events (both in-person and virtual) such as charity auctions, galas, and "Dine to Donate" events. Ensure these events align with our mission and engage attendees in our cause.
    • Corporate Sponsorships: Identify and approach local businesses and corporations for sponsorship opportunities. Develop sponsorship packages that outline how their contribution will directly impact the lives of the young women we serve.
    • Grant Writing Assistance: Collaborate with our team to research and apply for grants from foundations that align with our mission. Help draft persuasive proposals that highlight the urgent need for funding.
    • Creative Outreach: Develop innovative ways to engage with the local community, alumni, and online audiences to increase awareness and donations. This could include crowdfunding campaigns, social media challenges, and collaboration with influencers.
    • Reporting and Metrics: Track and analyze the success of fundraising campaigns. Provide feedback and insights on what works and how we can improve future efforts.
      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Previous experience in fundraising, marketing, or nonprofit work
    • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories
    • Creativity and passion for social causes
    • Organizational and event-planning skills
    • Experience with social media marketing and online fundraising platforms
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative
    • A commitment to Machiah’s House mission of empowering young women
    • Impact: Your efforts as a fundraiser will play a crucial role in helping Machiah’s House secure the necessary funding to continue providing housing, life skills, and educational opportunities for young women who have aged out of the foster care system. You’ll be directly contributing to giving these women a chance at a stable, successful future.
If you’re ready to use your skills for a cause that matters and make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you!
