Description
Job Title: Associate Executive Director
Location: Remote
Reports To: Executive Director
Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)
About the Role:
The Associate Executive Director supports the Executive Director in leading organizational strategy, overseeing cross-functional operations, and ensuring effective execution of programs and initiatives. This role serves as a key leadership partner in driving alignment across departments, improving operational efficiency, and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Executive Director in strategic planning and organizational decision-making
- Oversee coordination across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Track progress and execution of key initiatives across teams
- Support development and implementation of internal policies and processes
- Act as a liaison between executive leadership and department directors
- Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability
- Support staffing strategy, recruitment alignment, and workforce planning
- Assist in preparing leadership reports, updates, and presentations
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational management skills
- Experience in operations, program coordination, or leadership roles (preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Familiarity with HR, recruitment, or nonprofit operations is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
