    Vision Without Limits- 30 Years of Empowerment Through Education and Technology: VRATE  Volunteer Opportunity!
    • We are seeking volunteers for the 30th Vision Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Expo (VRATE)! As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of the conference. A variety of days and opportunities are available including:

    Thursday, November 19th Pre Set-Up From 2:30PM – 7PM, and Friday, November 20th From 7AM – 4PM

    Registration assistance – Help greet attendees and ensure smooth check in process.

    Session support – assist presenters with set up. Assist attendees with directions to the various break-out rooms.

    Exhibit Hall Assistance – provide support to vendors and attendees with any questions or needs.

    Accessibility support – help ensure that the Conference is accessible to individuals with disabilities, including providing assistance with mobility.

    About the Conference:

    The VRATE Conference offers individuals, families, and professionals from across Arizona free access to educational seminars on best practices in vision loss and includes emphasis on the intersectionality of other disabilities such as hearing loss. Presentations and workshops will include topics such as using assistive technology, job readiness, advocacy, specialized learning modalities, defining independence, and fostering self-determination for sustainable success.

    A comprehensive set of exhibitors and vendors will be on hand to provide information, resources, and the opportunity to test out technology designed to be accessible to those living with vision impairments of all abilities.
