    Commitment: 5 to 10 hours per month, plus increased time during major events. Attend monthly Advisory Panel meetings. Provide strategic marketing guidance and lead promotion for at least two major events per year. One year commitment preferred.

    Description

    Purpose

    Provides strategic marketing leadership to expand awareness, strengthen brand consistency, and increase engagement for Grounded Boots Relief initiatives, events, and deployments. Serves on the Advisory Panel to guide long term growth and public positioning.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute marketing strategies for fundraising events, training events, and public campaigns

    • Increase attendance and participation at events through targeted outreach

    • Diversify marketing channels including digital, print, partnerships, and community outreach

    • Identify opportunities for earned media coverage

    • Guide messaging consistency across website, social media, email, and print

    • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategy based on results

    • Collaborate with the Public Information Officer during active deployments

    • Support sponsorship visibility and partner recognition strategies

    • Advise leadership on branding, positioning, and public perception

    Qualifications and Expectations

    • Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy

    • Experience promoting events or campaigns with measurable results

    • Ability to diversify outreach channels beyond social media alone

    • Strategic thinking with practical execution skills

    • Willingness to attend Advisory Panel meetings and planning sessions

    • Commitment to advancing the mission and reputation of Grounded Boots Relief

    • Resume required as part of the application process
