    Description

Social Media Manager & Content Calendar Manager (Volunteer)

    Volunteer Social Media Operations Manager

    Organization: Army Pink

    Location: Remote

Commitment: Approximately 5–10 hours per week (flexible)

    About Army Pink

Army Pink is a survivor-led nonprofit initiative dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence reach safety through Freedom Rides—safe, confidential transportation to shelters, crisis centers, and other essential services. We're also developing an innovative Wellness Portal to provide ongoing support and healing resources for survivors.

As our organization continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced volunteer to lead the day-to-day operations of our social media program.

    About the Role

This is not a content creation role.

We already have volunteers developing graphics, videos, and social media content, along with a content strategy. What we need is someone who enjoys organizing people, managing projects, and keeping everything running smoothly.

As the Social Media Operations Manager, you'll oversee our volunteer social media team, manage the content calendar, coordinate publishing schedules, and ensure content is reviewed, approved, and posted consistently across all platforms.

You'll be the person who keeps everyone aligned and helps turn great ideas into a reliable publishing schedule.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the Army Pink social media team.
    • Own and maintain the social media content calendar.
    • Coordinate posting schedules across all platforms.
    • Assign and monitor tasks using Monday.com.
    • Communicate with volunteers through Slack.
    • Ensure projects stay on schedule and deadlines are met.
    • Follow up with team members to keep work moving.
    • Coordinate with content creators, designers, and leadership.
    • Identify workflow improvements and help the team stay organized.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress.

    Qualifications

    We're looking for someone who:

    • Has experience managing projects or teams.
    • Is highly organized and dependable.
    • Enjoys coordinating volunteers and helping teams succeed.
    • Has excellent communication skills.
    • Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Is comfortable using project management tools (Monday.com experience is a plus but not required).
    • Has experience with social media scheduling tools or content calendars.

    What You'll Gain

    • Help build a national initiative supporting survivors of domestic violence.
    • Develop leadership and nonprofit management experience.
    • Collaborate with an enthusiastic and mission-driven volunteer team.
    • Make a meaningful impact while helping establish Army Pink's public voice and online presence.
