Website Developer & Designer

The Blaque Script is a youth-led creative writing collective dedicated to uplifting Black voices through storytelling, poetry, and artistic expression. We are currently in our early stages and are looking for a Website Developer & Designer to help us build and maintain our online platform.

In this role, you will help design and develop a simple, visually appealing website to showcase writing, share updates, and provide information about our organization. Responsibilities may include building pages (using platforms like Wix, Squarespace, or similar), organizing content, updating the site with new submissions, and helping ensure the overall design reflects our creative and expressive brand.

We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and interested in web design or development. Prior experience is not required, but basic familiarity with website builders, design tools, or layout principles is helpful. A strong sense of aesthetics and willingness to experiment with design are important.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in web design, digital media, or tech to gain hands-on experience while creating a platform that highlights and uplifts Black youth voices.
