    Description

    We are a mutual aid group based in the Point Breeze and Gray's Ferry neighborhoods! We highly encourage Philadelphians from South Philadelphia and local college/universities to reach out! There is a place for everyone.

    Possible Volunteer Responsibilities. Give what you can, take what you need.

    (0-5 hours a week)

    • Support general back-of-house and warehouse operations, including food sourcing and inventory coordination (Saturday availability)
    • Participate in community cleanups and/or food distribution tables (Sunday availability preferred.) Community clean up dates and times fluctuate
    • Assist with flyer distribution and community outreach efforts. (Async/remote)

    (5 to 10+ hours a week)

    • Participate in community cleanups and/or food distribution tables.
    • Support back-of-house and warehouse operations, including food sourcing and logistics.
    • Recruit and engage volunteers through neighborhood outreach and flyering for distribution tables, community cleanups, and town halls.
    • Research grant opportunities and assist with grant writing and fundraising initiatives.
    • Support survey development, data collection, and data entry/analysis.
    • Assist with graphic design, flyer creation, newsletter, and outreach materials.

    Student specific: (0 to 12 hours)

    • Participate in community cleanups and/or food distribution tables (1-2x a month)
    • Recruit and engage volunteers through neighborhood outreach and flyering for distribution tables, community cleanups, and town halls. (Async, 1 to 2 hours a week)
    • Research grant opportunities and assist with grant writing and fundraising initiatives. (Async, 1 to 2 hours a week)
    • Support survey development, data collection, and data entry/analysis. (Async, 1 to 2 hours a week)
    • Assist with graphic design, flyer creation, newsletter, and outreach materials. (Async, 1 to 2 hours a week)
