    ReadyWork$: Online Job Readiness Training Program - Mock Interviewers Needed - Orientation 7/1

    About ReadyWork$

    ReadyWork$ prepares job seekers for sustainable employment by building confidence, interview readiness, and real-world professional skills. Through training, coaching, and mock interviews, we help participants overcome barriers to employment and successfully transition into the workforce.

    ReadyWork$ is seeking Volunteer Mock Interviewers to support participants by conducting practice interviews and providing constructive feedback. Volunteers play a critical role in helping job seekers strengthen their interviewing skills, build confidence, and prepare for real hiring processes.

    Orientation & Training

    All new Mock Interviewers are required to attend a virtual Mock Interview Orientation:

    📅 Date: July 1st

    ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM (PT)

    📍 Location: Virtual (link will be sent to registered volunteers)

    This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to give back, support economic mobility, and make a direct impact with a flexible time commitment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct virtual mock interviews (one-on-one in your Breakout Room) with ReadyWork$ participants
    • Ask role-appropriate behavioral and situational interview questions
    • Provide supportive, actionable feedback on:
      • Interview responses
      • Communication style and professionalism
      • Body language and confidence
    • Offer general guidance on employer expectations and hiring best practices
    • Complete brief post-interview feedback notes (template provided)

    Qualifications

    • Experience participating in interviews (as an interviewer, hiring manager, recruiter, or professional employee)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to provide encouraging, constructive feedback
    • Reliable internet access and comfort with video conferencing platforms
    • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting individuals facing employment barriers

    No previous teaching or coaching experience required.

    Time Commitment

    • Next Mock Interview days are: July 30th and August 6th
    • Typically 3-4 mock interview days, each lasting 90 minutes
