    iPub is a dynamic, women-run publishing company committed to publishing stories that challenge perspectives, inspire dialogue and change the world. We work with authors across genres and backgrounds to amplify meaningful voices and create impactful content for global audiences.

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    We are seeking a Volunteer Digital Publishing (& Distribution) Coordinator to support the dissemination of our books across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with digital tools, and interested in helping mission-driven content reach a wider audience. The volunteer will assist with the uploading, management, and expansion of digital book distribution channels, helping ensure that our publications are accessible through a wide range of platforms used by readers, educators, and institutions.

    TYPICAL EXAMPLES OF WORK

    • Upload and manage book listings across publishing platforms (e.g., Ingram, VitalSource, and new digital distribution services)
    • Ensure metadata accuracy, including titles, descriptions, keywords, and categories
    • Identify and research new platforms for distributing books (academic, nonprofit, educational, and global markets)
    • Maintain records of where titles are distributed and monitor listing quality
    • Collaborate with the publishing team to prioritize titles and updates
    • Assist in improving discoverability of books across platforms

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILL SETS

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Comfort working with online platforms and learning new systems
    • Interest in publishing, books, or digital media
    • Ability to work independently and follow structured processes
    • Experience with publishing platforms is helpful but not required (training can be provided)
    • Familiarity with spreadsheets or basic data tracking is a plus
