What does it mean to be a "Host"?
Think of it as being a super mentor and opening your heart and home to a child who needs the stability, security, and support of a family.
By hosting through our Los Angeles Weekend Miracles program, you commit to spending regular time with an older kid in foster care, this means seeing them at least twice a month for a minimum of a year. Host families spend this time getting to know a teen, building a connection, and supporting them as they navigate their lives with the goal of developing a lifelong, connected, caring relationship. Additionally, Hosts help advocate to find an adoptive family if that is what their host child wishes.
