Laptop Distribution and Support Volunteers

Our technology lab in downtown Montclair, NJ is in need of volunteers to help us support our mission. Laptop Upcycle supports students in northern NJ with free laptops for those in need. We accept donations of lightly used laptops, securely wipe the data from them, and prepare them for new owners in our lab.

We are in need of adult volunteers to assist in the distribution of laptops in and around Montclair. To support this part of our mission, you may:

• Learn our processes and work with the lab team to coordinate and deliver laptops to students who qualify for them.
• Support existing student clients and issues they may have with their laptops including software support and replacement of damaged laptops when necessary.
• Create general support materials and online content for laptop recipients.
• Network with local schools, education administrations, and other nonprofits; working to develop and expand distribution channels for laptops.
• Promote and advertise Laptop Upcycles mission and story through traditional and social media to enhance the awareness of laptop availability in Northern NJ.
• Work with the Laptop Upcycle Board and the Lab Team to create tools and processes to better serve our student community.
