    • Support strategies to increase readership, engagement, and retention
    • Align messaging with community engagement and outreach efforts

    Quality & Consistency

    • Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and messaging across all newsletters
    • Review content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment
    • Ensure communications reflect dignity-centered and trauma-informed language

    Systems & Distribution

    • Manage newsletter tools, distribution lists, and scheduling
    • Maintain organized records of communications and audience lists
    • Support tracking of basic engagement metrics (open rates, clicks)

    Collaboration & Communication

    • Work across teams to gather timely updates and content
    • Align newsletters with broader communications and campaigns
    • Maintain timely, professional responsiveness via Google Workspace

    • Experience in communications, content creation, or email marketing
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage timelines and coordinate across teams
    • Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values

    Preferred

    • Experience with newsletter platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or similar tools)
    • Experience in nonprofit communications or storytelling
    • Familiarity with audience engagement strategies
    • Experience working across multiple content streams

    Commitment

    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
    • Hybrid / remote with optional NYC-based collaboration

    What You’ll Gain

    • Experience managing a central communication channel for a growing nonprofit
    • Opportunity to shape how MAP connects with its broader community
    • Collaboration with communications, program, and leadership teams
    • Professional references and letters of recommendation
    • A meaningful role amplifying stories, impact, and engagement
