    Description

    Grant Writers Non-profit

Machiah's House is a non-profit agency in its beginning stages and in need of grant writers to help obtain start-up funds; home rental & housing expenses, payroll expenses, continued education training, counseling/therapy, office supplies, etc.

The program will focus primarily on "at risk" young female adults between the ages of 18 to 21 who have aged-out from foster care system. This age group is particularly problematic and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective.

Young female adults 18- 21 who come to us from severely stressed family systems, will receive a nurturing environment with love as we seek to break the destructive cycle of abuse, neglect, and shame and replace it with an opportunity for each young adult to live a life of self-respect, responsibility and productivity.

The goal of Machiah's House is to identify young female adults who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and derail their lives and to provide young adults with a stable, secure and nurturing transitional group home because we believe that the very best environment for a young adult to grow up in is within a supported unit.

Our agency will ensure... Honesty, Integrity and Ethical in all interactions, A right for all young adults to be safe and respected as they realize their fullest potential for their lives, A nurturing environment that emphasizes personal responsibility, positive communication, effective decision-making and appropriate expression of one's awareness.

The needs and welfare of the young adult is paramount at all times and our services will reflect this.
