Volunteer Maintainer — Quantum Core (qzoo-core)
Details
Description
Q-Zoo is an open-science lab building quantum network intelligence and quantum trust infrastructure — an application and middleware layer on top of quantum backends (IBM, Google, IonQ, D-Wave, AWS Braket). We are seeking a volunteer maintainer to steward qzoo-core, our Python codebase for QUBO/QAOA models, quantum graph analysis, and quantum trust layers (MIT-licensed).
Responsibilities: Review and merge pull requests, triage issues, safeguard the scientific correctness of the algorithms, keep the SDK's Graph Engine (QGE) modularity builders coherent, and maintain reproducibility through open datasets and notebooks. Mentor first-time contributors and help set the release cadence.
Qualifications: Strong Python skills and experience with quantum optimization. Background in applied math, physics, or computer science. Hands-on experience with D-Wave/Braket hybrid solvers. A collaborative, mentoring temperament.
Commitment: A few flexible hours per week for reviews and releases. Fully remote.
