    Description

    NONPROFIT STRATEGIST

Legacy Paws Rescue is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) dog rescue and sanctuary in Catawba, NC, and we are seeking one Nonprofit Strategist to help us build a sustainable structure around a mission that is already working. In eighteen months we have rescued 17 dogs with no staff, no board, and no formal systems — everything runs through one founder who is stretched beyond capacity. Responsibilities include assessing our current organizational structure, identifying the highest priority gaps in operations and sustainability, helping us build a realistic one to three year road map, and providing guidance on how to grow without burning out the one person holding everything together. The ideal volunteer has experience in nonprofit strategy, organizational development, or executive leadership, is comfortable working with a very small organization at the beginning stages of building real infrastructure, and can work remotely on a flexible schedule. We are not broken — we are under-built, and the right strategic partner could be the difference between Legacy Paws closing quietly or becoming something that saves hundreds of animals over the next decade.
