Help a Veteran-Owned Dog Rescue Get Its Products Into Local Shops

Legacy Paws Rescue is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) dog rescue and sanctuary in Catawba, North Carolina, and we need help getting our product line in front of local retailers. Every product we sell directly funds the dogs in our care, which makes this role as mission-critical as anything else we do.

Our product line includes Magical Mutts — handcrafted rescue dog companions designed to teach children empathy, dog safety, and emotional literacy through play. We also produce specialty Magical Mutts kits designed specifically for children fighting cancer and children in the foster care system, created to bring comfort and connection during some of the hardest seasons of a child's life. Additionally we offer the Journaling is for the Dogs series — a guided journal line addressing mental health, grief, and emotional resilience for families — and a Legacy Paws calendar that supports the rescue year-round.

Responsibilities include identifying appropriate retail partners in Catawba County and surrounding areas — boutiques, gift shops, children's stores, pet shops, hospital gift shops, and specialty retailers — making introductory outreach by phone, email, and in-person visits, presenting our products and mission to buyers, negotiating basic wholesale agreements, and building ongoing retail relationships. This role belongs to someone comfortable making cold outreach, confident talking about products and purpose together, and motivated by knowing every sale keeps a dog alive. Local candidates in Catawba County and surrounding North Carolina areas are strongly preferred. Some daytime availability is required.
