🔧 The Opportunity
We are forming our founding Volunteer Board of Directors to help guide growth, strengthen operations, and expand impact in the community.
This is a hands-on, mission-driven board—not just advisory. You’ll help shape programs, support youth, and build something that lasts.
🎯 Board Member Responsibilities
- Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Support strategic planning and growth
- Help secure donations, sponsorships, and partnerships
- Provide guidance in your area of expertise
- Advocate for youth programs and community engagement
- Uphold the mission and values of Vaca Bikes
🧠Ideal Skills (we don’t expect one person to have all)
We are especially looking for people with experience in:
- Youth development / mentorship
- Nonprofit leadership or startup building
- Fundraising & grant writing
- Marketing / social media
- Bike industry or hands-on trades
- Education or school partnerships
- Legal, finance, or operations
🔥 Youth Board Positions (Ages 14–18)
We are also recruiting teen board members who want to step into leadership.
Youth members will:
- Represent the voice of the program
- Help plan events and ride-outs
- Support social media and outreach
- Learn leadership, communication, and decision-making
👉 This is a real leadership role—not just a title.
