    Description

We are looking for volunteer writers to create outdoor articles focused on hiking safety, decision-making, and real-world scenarios.

This is not academic writing. The goal is clear, direct, conversational content that people can actually understand and use. Articles should be written from scratch and based on real situations, common mistakes, and practical advice.

    Topics include things like:

    • hiking safety
    • decision-making in the field
    • common mistakes people make
    • weather, planning, and preparedness
    • real scenarios that lead to problems outdoors

Writers will receive credit for their work (byline included) and will be part of building a growing body of content focused on preventing outdoor incidents.

We are looking for people who can:

    • write clearly and directly (not overly technical or academic)
    • explain ideas in a simple and practical way
    • stay consistent and follow through on articles
    • take feedback and improve over time

This is a good fit for someone who wants to build a writing portfolio, get published work, and contribute to something that has real-world impact.
