Description
Title: Furniture Movers - Distribution
Summary: Assist clients, donors, and other volunteers with moving furniture and other items into moving trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Inspect items for health and safety issues (e.g., stains, rips, broken or missing parts, mold, infestations, etc...).
- Move items to appropriate locations
- Display items carefully and neatly keeping aisles clear.
- Assemble items or label separate parts clearly.
- Take trash/recycling to appropriate dumpster
- Pack tightly.
- Keep all client and donor information confidential.
- Work safely:
- Utilize safety equipment (gloves, safety glasses, hand trucks, etc.)
- Ask for help when needed
- Know your own limitations.
Qualifications:
- Able to lift 50 pounds
Availability:
- Monday through Saturday
- Saturday afternoons especially needed
2 shifts available:
- 08:45 to 12:00 EST
- 12:45 to 16:00 EST
