Description
The Porter Voice Collective (PVC) is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of porters and mountain workers in global trekking. Our focus is on gender equity, labor equity, and human rights.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Research & Content Volunteer to help us amplify the voices of porters and guides and support our advocacy work. This role is perfect for individuals interested in human rights, social justice, and storytelling in a global context.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct research on labor practices, gender equity, and human rights in mountain tourism regions
- Assist with creating content for blogs, social media, newsletters, and other storytelling platforms
- Support the documentation of porter and guide experiences to raise awareness of their work and challenges
Who You Are:
- Interested in human rights, social justice, or ethical tourism
- Skilled in research, writing, or content creation
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Excited to contribute to a mission-driven nonprofit and make a tangible impac
