    Role Overview

You may apply for one of three paths (or all three):

TRACK 1 — Social Media & Website Assistant

For candidates who love digital communication, visuals, storytelling, and online strategy.

TRACK 2 — Podcast & Video Editing Assistant

For candidates who enjoy editing audio/video, making short-form clips, and shaping multimedia stories.

TRACK 3 — Hybrid Digital Storytelling Volunteer

For candidates who want experience across both tracks.

You can select your preferred track(s) in your application. We welcome either specialization or a hybrid approach.

Track 1: Social Media & Website Responsibilities

    • Draft, schedule, and publish posts on Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook
    • Create graphics, story slides, and simple short-form videos (Reels/TikToks)
    • Help maintain and update the Enroot website (add content, fix links, upload photos, edit copy)
    • Track analytics and suggest improvements
    • Assist with email newsletter content (optional)
    • Support content planning for dinner events, storytelling campaigns, and partnerships

    Ideal for candidates who are…

Creative, visual, organized, strong writers, and curious about social impact storytelling.

Track 2: Podcast & Video Editing Responsibilities

    • Edit audio for the Nom Nom podcast
    • Clean, mix, and assemble episodes (intro/outro/music)
    • Edit short promotional video clips for social media
    • Add captions, basic motion graphics, and simple visual overlays
    • Maintain an organized library of audio/video files
    • Assist in shaping episode pacing, structure, and storytelling tone

    Ideal for candidates who are…

Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, strong in audio/video editing, and passionate about food/culture content.

For candidates with skills in both areas, your weekly tasks may include:

    • Managing social content
    • Editing podcast episodes
    • Creating video clips for social media

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Self-starter, responsible, able to manage deadlines
    • Comfort giving/receiving feedback
