Hospice Volunteer Opportunities

Are you looking to make a real difference in the lives of others? Carilion Clinic Hospice in Frankin County is seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our team!

As a hospice volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to provide comfort and companionship to patients, support families during difficult times, and help increase awareness about the holistic approach of hospice care.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including:

• Companionship and Support: Sit with patients and relieve a caregiver, read to patients that are visually impaired, sing hymns, and lots more!
• Fundraising: Help with fundraising events by helping with advertising and setting up, represent the team at events, etc.
• Office Support: Assist with administrative tasks like making check-in calls, mailings, packaging supplies, etc.

Each of these volunteer roles brings another level of quality care and comfort to our patients and families at the end of life. As a volunteer, you will give the amazing gift of compassion and often when you give this gift, you also get compassion in return.
