    Description

The Harbor Dish is a mobile community cafe and is a 501(c)3 created in 2013 to serve the Safety Harbor, FL area. Harbor Dish creates delicious food in an environment where individuals needing a helping hand can dine with dignity. We have established a network of community-minded people who have built a caring community that utilizes local farmers, businesses and volunteers to enrich the lives of our patrons and reduce food waste.

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for general coordination of all food services in the kitchen.

We have various days and times for this opportunity, as you will be overseeing almost daily tasks. We regularly cook on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, and receive food donations 7 days per week.

We would work with you for a schedule and what's expected of you during the initial interview process.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Share the mission of The Harbor Dish with each new group or individual volunteer(s) or other persons that you meet.
    • Manage and maintain all inventory, including shopping weekly for necessities
    • Ensure food safety requirements are followed
    • Coordinating catering by donation events

    Experience:

    • 1-2 years in Food Services with Serve Safe Certification, or we can train you if you don't have it.
    • Ability to plan and organize work, with attention to detail and ability to manage other volunteers to stay on task.
