Be a Volunteer Companion for a Senior!

Porchlight Friends offers companionship visits, lasting 2 hours, to assist older adults in their homes and to provide caregiver respite to those caring for older adults. Our companions assist with projects in the home, they help with light housework and can provide rides for errands to the store/bank/pharmacy and doctor appointments. We also provide respite care to those that are caring for an older loved one, giving them peace of mind while they enjoy some time for themselves.

Our companions provide face-to-face interactions to help battle the loneliness and isolation felt by so many of our older community members. Our clients enjoy easy connection to family, friends, and community services using the Porchlight Health platform. This platform is provided to each of our clients. We combine the technology with in-person support to ensure even the most digitally challenged adults stay connected. It is secure, easy to use and has one-touch connections for video chats, phone calls and texting with friends and family across the country.
