Description
The Family Justice Center volunteer is often the first point of contact at the Family Justice Center (FJC). This role supports survivors, visitors, staff, and community partners by providing a welcoming, trauma-informed presence and assisting with basic administrative and front-desk operations. Volunteers help greet visitors, answer phones, support check-ins, and connect people to the right staff or resources. Volunteers help ensure the FJC remains a safe, organized, and supportive environment for all who enter.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and answer phones
- Assist with check-in and connect individuals to staff or resources
- Support basic scheduling and administrative tasks
- Follow safety and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications:
- Commitment to YWCA Utah’s mission and values
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a supportive presence
- Willingness to learn and apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
- Basic computer skills; Spanish a plus
