    Description

    Front Desk Volunteer (Weekdays) – Family Justice Center

    The Family Justice Center volunteer is often the first point of contact at the Family Justice Center (FJC). This role supports survivors, visitors, staff, and community partners by providing a welcoming, trauma-informed presence and assisting with basic administrative and front-desk operations. Volunteers help greet visitors, answer phones, support check-ins, and connect people to the right staff or resources. Volunteers help ensure the FJC remains a safe, organized, and supportive environment for all who enter.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet visitors and answer phones
    • Assist with check-in and connect individuals to staff or resources
    • Support basic scheduling and administrative tasks
    • Follow safety and confidentiality protocols

    Qualifications:

    • Commitment to YWCA Utah’s mission and values
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a supportive presence
    • Willingness to learn and apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
    • Basic computer skills; Spanish a plus
