1st and 2nd grade Reading tutors at Windsor Farm Elementary, Broadneck and Arnold Elementary

STAIR-Annapolis, Start The Adventure In Reading, is a twice-weekly, AFTER SCHOOL literacy tutoring program for Anne Arundel County Public School first and second grade students reading below grade level. Tutors work one-on-one with a student for an hour-45 minute long session, and we offer our volunteers the flexibility to choose their level of commitment: one day per week, two days per week, or as a substitute on an as-needed basis. STAIR-Annapolis recently opened a new site at Windsor Farm Elementary, 591 Broadneck Rd., Annapolis. Windsor Farm STAIR is held on Monday and Thursday from 2:30-3:45. We also have a site in Arnold at the Asbury Methodist Church that meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:15. Our program runs from early October to early May. We offer a comprehensive introduction and training for all new volunteers.

The info sessions are 45 minutes and are an overview of the STAIR program. In August, STAIR will begin to schedule the required 2-hour curriculum trainings. The curriculum trainings will be offered at various dates and locations for the convenience of our volunteers.
