    Volunteer Production Kitchen Support

    Volunteer Positions:

    Volunteer Kitchen Production Assistant

    Label Printing Assistant

    Please note: This volunteer role is in a clean-safe facility and must adhere to Food For Health guidelines which include uniform regulations. Cell phones and other belongings are not allowed in the food production facility.

    Objective/Purpose:

    We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to support our production kitchen which prepares fresh medically tailored meals to individuals with diet-related diseases. As a vital member of our team, you will help with plating our MTM’s, labeling our smart snack vending machine items, and assist with packaging various products.

    Volunteer Kitchen Production Assistant Duties

    • Neatly apply labels to meal packages
    • Participate in quality assurance checks on finished products to ensure label accuracy.
    • Address and resolve any labeling discrepancies or issues that arise during production
    • Collaborate with team members to understand specific labeling needs.

    Volunteer Label Printing Assistant Duties:

    • Operate label printing equipment and ensure quality control of printing labels
    • Organize and maintian label supplies and equipment
    • Collaborate with team members to understand specific labeling needs.
    • Participate in inventory management for labeling materials
    • Help troubleshoot any technical issues with the printing equipment.
    • Follow all safety and operational protocols while working

    Skills/Qualifications

    Possess a friendly demeanor

    Physically able to lift up-to-25 pounds, climb stairs as needed, stand or sit for up to 4 hours

    Ability to follow directions from FFH team leads.

    Attention to detail and a focus on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness including sanitation procedures.

    What to Wear:

    Closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles to help prevent slips, trips, and falls

    Present neatly and professionally: nails trimmed; long hair pulled back

    Volunteers will be provided with Food For Health uniforms to include hairnet

    No jewelry is allowed in our clean-safe facility

    No Shorts. Pants Only
