    Description

    Field Trip Volunteer

Every year, hundreds of fourth-grade students from Brunswick County Schools embark on an unforgettable journey to explore Old Baldy. This field trip offers a unique educational experience, blending history, science, and the beauty of nature. The Old Baldy Foundation proudly supports the Lighthouse Learners Scholarship Program, which provides funding for ferry tickets and admission fees for fourth-grade classes visiting Old Baldy Lighthouse.

Our field trip volunteers wear many hats: You may help guide eager kids up and down the 108 steps of the lighthouse, help direct the museum scavenger hunts, or help manage the students in the gift shop.

These field trips typically take place in February, March, and April of each year.
