    Description

Volunteer Coordinator — Work Directly With the Executive Director

Legacy Paws Rescue is looking for a hands-on Volunteer Coordinator to work directly with our Executive Director to recruit, organize, support, and engage volunteers who help bring our mission to life. This is a collaborative role for someone who enjoys working with people, keeping things moving, and making sure volunteers have meaningful roles, clear expectations, and the support they need to follow through.

We're building more than a rescue. We're building a different approach to helping dogs and people, and we need people who want to be part of making that happen. Volunteers aren't just extra hands. They're part of the heart of this organization, and the way we bring them in, support them, and work alongside them matters.

You'll collaborate with the ED to identify volunteer needs, recruit people with the right skills and interests, coordinate onboarding and assignments, maintain communication, check progress, gather feedback, and address problems when things aren't working. You'll help volunteers feel connected to the mission while making sure commitments turn into action.

We're looking for an organized, people-oriented doer who can build relationships, solve problems, communicate honestly, and follow through. Someone who understands that coordinating volunteers means more than keeping a list of names—it's helping people find where they fit and making sure everyone can contribute in a way that works.

If you believe people can make a real difference when they're given the right opportunity and support, and you want to help build something meaningful from the ground up, we'd love to connect.
