    Description

iPub Cloud International is seeking a volunteer Teaching Assistant and Course Support Coordinator to help support the development of iPub Academy, the educational branch of our nonprofit publishing organization.

We are currently building a three-part editorial training program focused on proofreading, copyediting, and line editing for aspiring editors, writers, and publishing professionals.

This is a flexible, remote volunteer position with no set hours or minimum time commitment. Volunteers may contribute as little or as much time as they are able.

    The Role

This position focuses on helping with the organizational and technical side of building online courses. The instructor creates and teaches the course content. The assistant helps keep everything organized and running smoothly.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Organizing files and course materials in Google Drive
    • Uploading materials to a Moodle-based learning platform
    • Helping format slides, handouts, and supplemental materials
    • Assisting with turning slide decks into narrated video lessons
    • Helping track enrollment and course scheduling
    • Providing light support during a live online class once per week for approximately one hour, such as advancing slides or monitoring chat/questions

Ideal Candidates May Have Interest In:

    • Editing, publishing, writing, education, or instructional design
    • Google Drive, PowerPoint, Canva, Moodle, or similar platforms
    • Organization, digital media, or online learning support

    Volunteer Perks

    • Official iPub email address
    • Free Canva access through the nonprofit organization
    • Microsoft Office 365 access
    • Adobe Acrobat access through nonprofit licensing
    • Portfolio experience, mentorship, and recommendation letters for active contributors
    • Remote, flexible work that can be completed on your own schedule

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about the position, please email Jennifer Wyman at jwyman@ipubcloud.org. Please include a brief introduction about yourself, your interests, and any relevant experience or skills you would like to share.
