    Description

Drive Virginia seniors (McLean/Arlington/FallsChurch) to medical appointments.

GIVE THE GIFT OF A LIFT! Do you love to drive? Are you driven to help others? Use that passion to serve your community! Drive seniors to medical and dental appointments, grocery stores or pharmacies, on your own schedule when time permits. Clients reside in McLean, Arlington, or Falls Church. Show seniors that they are an integral part of our caring community, and deserve to live independently with dignity. Allow them to stay in the comfort and peace of their own home, despite the inability to drive. NO MINIMUM driving requirement. You choose the days, times and places convenient for you. Once a week, month or year--each ride really helps. Receive the joy of helping seniors, and meeting wonderful folks who often have interesting backgrounds and stories to tell. After a quick background check and screening interview, you receive regular emails of available rides and can select what works for you. [note: This is an ongoing opportunity; no expiration date for driver need. Any expiration date only relates to website posting duration.]

    Testimonials:

    • "What a wonderful service you all provide and it meant so much to us. After Mom's last accident when she decided to give up driving, it was a relief to her to find a reliable, compassionate and free service. And what a relief to me as well since I live out of town and can't always be there to drive her. You are a blessing to the community. God bless you and keep up the good work."

    • "Thanks so much to Robyn and her charming son for helping me over the two-day doctor's care for my cataract suegery. I am inspired. I am so appreciative of what the Shepherd's Center has done for me." former client.
