    Social Media, Marketing, & Commmunication Volunteer

    Title: Social Marketing & Communications Intern (Volunteer)

    Organization: Wheelchair Dance Organization / Dynamic Inclusive Dance

    Location: San Diego, CA (hybrid/remote)

    Hours: flexible

    About the role:

    Help share the joy and impact of inclusive dance through social media and digital storytelling. This is an unpaid professional development opportunity offering valuable hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and communication.

    Learning Outcomes / Skills You’ll Gain

    • Develop social media content and editorial calendar
    • Write blog posts, newsletters, and internal communication pieces
    • Assist with outreach campaigns and community events
    • Gain exposure to nonprofit communications, branding, and grassroots advocacy

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting with social media strategy & content (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
    • Monitor analytics and prepare brief reports
    • Editing photos/videos from classes and events
    • Helping maintain brand consistency and audience engagement
    • Support the outreach team with event promotion and follow-up
    • Participate in weekly check-in meetings and share progress

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing and visual communication skills
    • Comfortable with tools like Canva, Instagram Reels, or similar tools
    • Passion for community impact/nonprofit sector (specifically inclusion, dance, and the arts)
    • Self-starter, reliable, good communicator
