Description
A supervised field placement for social work students: home visits, group work and community meetings.
What you will do
- Visit families and community groups with our field staff.
- Run a session with a women's group, youth club or school.
- Keep the field diary your course asks for.
Who this is for
- BSW or MSW students who need a supervised field placement.
- Groups from one college are welcome to apply together.
- Some Hindi helps when you talk with families.
What you get
- Regular supervision and feedback on your field work.
- A free letter confirming your dates and your work when you finish.
What it costs
This placement is unpaid. A monthly fee covers your shared room, meals, internet, training, mentoring, local transport for the work, and the papers for your visa.
- From abroad: USD 810 for one month, USD 1,350 for three, USD 1,980 for six, plus a refundable USD 45 deposit. You need health and evacuation insurance.
- From India: ₹9,000 a month for one month, falling to ₹3,000 a month for six, plus a refundable ₹1,500 deposit for some housing.
- Not included: flights, visa fees and insurance.
- Group discounts and scholarships can lower the fee.
- The fee is less than your stay costs us.
