    Description

    Youth Committed to Change (YCC) – Volunteer Leadership & Community Service Corp (Ages 18–30)

    Do you believe small acts of kindness can create big change?

    Join Youth Committed to Change (YCC) — a new, energetic volunteer movement powered by Sonia’s Faith in Action. YCC brings together young adults (ages 18-30) from across Maryland who are ready to serve, lead, and make a lasting impact in their communities.

    Through hands-on service projects, leadership training, and meaningful connections, YCC members become change-makers dedicated to uplifting children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness — continuing the legacy of Sonia Lindsay, a woman whose faith and compassion inspired everyone around her.

    Beyond volunteering, members build professional and leadership skills, network with nonprofit and community leaders, and discover the joy of living their faith through action.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in quarterly community service projects
    • Attend monthly virtual or in-person meetings
    • Assist with outreach, event coordination, or fundraising initiatives
    • Engage in leadership development and team-building activities
    • Represent YCC and Sonia’s Faith in Action at community events
