    Description

    Volunteer for Authors Luncheon!

In its 37th year, the National Kidney Foundation’s Authors Luncheon is the Bay Area’s premier literary fundraiser. This iconic event brings together authors and literary leaders in support of NKF’s work in education, advocacy, and research—advancing kidney health and improving the lives of patients and families nationwide.

Please join us for an unforgettable afternoon celebrating acclaimed authors, powerful storytelling, and life-changing impact. Indulge your literary cravings at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero in the vibrant heart of San Francisco. We're on the hunt for some book enthusiasts to join our tribe of amazing volunteers. Bring your pals, your book club buddies, or just yourself – we're all about the power of "we"!

And the author lineup this year? Absolutely incredible. Taking the stage this year is:

    • Andrew McCarthy, author of Who Needs Friends?: An Unscientific Examination of Male Friendship Across America
    • Maya Shankar, cognitive scientist, Google Director, and author of The Other Side of Change
    • Megha Majumdar, author of the Oprah Book Club pick: A Guardian and a Thief
    • Tayari Jones, author of Kin and the beloved An American Marriage

We are also thrilled to be honoring a National Kidney Foundation friend and supporter, Dr. Neil R. Powe of UCSF.
