    Description

    Workshop & Event Support Volunteer

    My Seniors Keeper Foundation (MSK) is seeking committed volunteers to support the planning and coordination of community-based workshops and events focused on environmental stewardship, food access, and workforce development.

    This role works closely with MSK’s leadership and board to assist in organizing and executing programming that serves residents through hands-on learning, service, and engagement.

    Volunteers will contribute to the coordination of events such as:

    • Ag-STEAM learning sessions
    • Earth Week service projects
    • Environmental justice engagement days
    • Green infrastructure workshops

    This is a planning and logistics role with both remote coordination and occasional on-site support.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with event planning and coordination alongside MSK leadership
    • Support scheduling, communication, and task tracking for upcoming events
    • Help organize materials, supplies, and logistics for workshops
    • Coordinate with volunteers, partners, and participants
    • Support outreach efforts and participant registration tracking
    • Assist with on-site event setup, flow, and breakdown when available
    • Help document activities and maintain organized records

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to follow through on tasks and meet timelines
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
    • Interest in environmental justice, urban agriculture, or community development
    • Experience in event planning, coordination, or administration is helpful but not required

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Includes remote coordination and periodic on-site event support
    • Flexible scheduling based on event calendar and availability
