Event Setup Crew – Kenya Mission Wear Fashion Show
About the Opportunity
We are looking for energetic and organized volunteers to help us transform our venue for the Kenya Mission Wear Fashion Show & Fundraiser! Your behind-the-scenes work will create a beautiful space where we can raise critical funds for the Beloved Destiny Children's Home and our feeding programs for over 700 children in Kenya.
Role & Responsibilities
As part of the setup crew, you will assist with:
- Venue Transformation: Setting up chairs, tables, and the runway layout.
- Decorating: Hanging banners, arranging floral centerpieces, and setting up silent auction displays.
- Backstage Prep: Assisting with garment organization, steaming Kenyan mission wear, and organizing model dressing areas.
- Signage: Placing directional signs and registration materials.
Qualifications
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable on your feet and able to lift light furniture or boxes (approx. 20 lbs).
- Attitude: A positive, "can-do" spirit and a passion for social justice and global outreach.
- Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions and work well with other community members.
Time Commitment & Location
- When: Saturday, August 15, 2026.
- Shift: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Setup must be complete before doors open at 3:00 PM).
- Where: Greater Life Christian Center, Justice, IL.
