    Admissions/Gift Shop Attendant/ Guided tours and fire safety lessons

    Join Our Volunteer Team at the Central Ohio Fire Museum & Learning Center (COFM)!

    Do you enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and making a difference in your community? We’d love for you to join our volunteer team!

    Our volunteers play an important role in helping us bring the history of firefighting and fire safety education to life.

    Opportunities include:

    • Greeting and welcoming museum guests
    • Collecting admissions and assisting in the gift shop
    • Operating the register for admissions and purchases
    • Leading guided tours of our artifacts and exhibits (training provided!)
    • Assisting with fire safety lessons for guests of all ages

    All volunteer activities are supervised by museum staff, and training is provided—you bring the enthusiasm, and we’ll show you the rest!

    Qualifications:

    • Friendly, welcoming, and outgoing personality
    • Comfortable interacting with guests of all ages and backgrounds
    • Willingness to learn and share information about fire history and safety
    • Ability to commit to at least one volunteer shift per month (shifts run 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Tuesday–Saturday)
