Description
Summary: Receive and process items brought to Household Goods by donors.
Responsibilities:
Ensure donors have a positive experience at Household Goods.
Establish a polite and respectful relationship with the donors.
Explain Household Goods’ mission and needs (items, volunteers, funding) to donors.
Determine if items are acceptable (usable by clients, clean, functional, in good working order, with all parts).
Inspect items for health and safety issues (e.g., stains, rips, broken or missing parts,mold, infestations, etc.)
Respectfully refuse any items that do not meet Household Goods guidelines.
Neatly and accurately complete Donor Receipts.
Be able to explain how personal information is used.
Enthusiastically thank donors for generous donations and encourage them to return.
Display items neatly in appropriate locations or have furniture movers assist.
Assemble items or label separate parts clearly.
Keep all client and donor information confidential
