    Educate. Radiate. Elevate. is looking for Development Committee members!

    You could help spread awareness and build strategic partnerships to ensure the success of E.R.E. programs and services - all while playing a valuable role in improving the lives of our most vulnerable youth. Strong education is truly life-changing - not just for the child receiving the learning support, but also for the student’s family, community, and society as a whole.

    About Us:

    E.R.E. is a nonprofit operating in IL and TX, formed during the pandemic to address the growing achievement gap due to school closures. Our purpose is to strengthen the educational achievement of underserved students by providing them with high-quality instruction from experienced tutors who will assist them with academics, enrichment, and test prep as well as essential learning and life skills. Our mission is to minimize the disproportionate learning losses for low-income students to provide economic, social, and emotional stability for the youth served, their families, and their communities.

    Requirements:

    You will be a welcome addition to the team if you are:

    • A resident of or connected with Illinois and/or Texas
    • Passionate about education, equity, and serving the community
    • Eager to network and build relationships with potential donors and partners
    • An outgoing self-starter who can work collaboratively in a remote environment
    • Willing to contribute in creative ways utilizing your expertise, skills, and network

    Duties:

    (Approximately 5-10 hours per month)

    • Drive increased community awareness of E.R.E.’s mission and program
    • Network with others who are also passionate about education and equity
    • Leverage your network to establish relationships with nonprofits, corporations/businesses, community/service providers, and other partners
    • Utilize your professional skills and expertise to assist with goal-oriented tasks
    • Assist with fundraising and recruitment efforts

    Commitments:

    • Participate in regular online committee meetings at least every other month
    • Regularly complete specific KPIs related to organizational objectives
    • Be involved for at least one year

    • Advisory Committee: For parents, students, and educators in Illinois or Texas to advocate for our families and ensure the efficacy of our tutoring programs. Time commitment: 5-10 hours per month for at least 1 year.
    • Development Committee: For business and education professionals in Illinois or Texas to perform outreach, make strategic introductions, and help with selected operational processes. Time commitment: 5-10 hours per month for at least 1 year.
    • Fundraising Committee: For those who have an interest in fundraising, sales, and/or marketing to ideate and implement campaigns and events. Time commitment: 5-10 hours per month for at least 1 year.
