    Description

    We are seeking committed volunteers to support our summer camp, an 8-week hands-on program combining engineering, summer reading, robotics, coding and pre-apprenticeship career exposure. Volunteer will help students explore real-world S.T.E.M. and skilled trade pathways while building confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

    Volunteer Roles May Include:

    • Assisting with bridge-building engineering projects
    • Supporting summer reading and literacy
    • Helping facilitate robotics, coding, and basic circuitry activities
    • Mentoring students teams during project-based learning
    • Supporting pre-apprenticeship career exploration sessions, including:
      • Carpentry (measuring, framing basics, tool safety
      • Plumbing (pipe systems, fittings, water flow concepts)
      • Painting (surface prep, materials, finishing techniques)
      • Air Conditioning / HVAC (cooling systems, energy efficiency basics)
      • Electrician (basic circuits, wiring concepts, electrical safety)
