Description
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Companionship Visits: Spend time with patients through conversation, reading, music, or quiet presence.
- Family Support: Offer respite to caregivers and lend a listening ear.
- Administrative Help: Assist with office tasks, mailings, or event planning.
- Bereavement Support: Help with follow-up calls or memorial services.
- Creative Contributions: Share talents like music, art, or pet therapy.
Qualifications
- A compassionate heart and a desire to serve
- Good listening and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Completion of hospice volunteer training (provided by us)
- Background check and health screening may be required
Location & Commitment
- Opportunities available throughout the Lookout Mountain Area
- Flexible scheduling — even a few hours a month can make a difference
