Description
As a volunteer at our Skid Row Learning Center Summer Program you can help with art and STEM workshops, math and reading and even field trips! You don’t need teaching experience—just patience, compassion, and a willingness to show up. We provide training, materials, and ongoing support so you’ll feel confident and prepared.

Join School on Wheels at our Skid Row Learning Center, a welcoming and safe space where children and youth experiencing homelessness come after school to learn, grow, and feel supported. Our afterschool program provides academic help, enrichment activities, and most importantly consistent, caring adults who believe in our students.
Your time truly matters. Volunteers help students build confidence, strengthen skills, and rediscover the joy of learning—one afternoon at a time.
▶️ Our 2026 Summer Programs runs Monday-Friday from 1pm - 5:00pm. We ask our volunteers to have availability to join us in person during our programming hours.
