Video Editor

AfroSabor is a Black-centered Afro-Latin cultural organization based in New York City focused on community, belonging, and cultural preservation through dance, music, and social experiences.

We are seeking a volunteer Video Editor to help transform footage from our workshops, socials, and community events into engaging short-form content for Instagram and other social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels and other short-form videos from existing footage
• Add music, captions, graphics, and transitions where appropriate
• Help showcase the energy, joy, and community of AfroSabor through video content
• Collaborate with AfroSabor leadership on content direction and priorities
• Maintain consistent communication regarding project status and timelines

Qualifications

• Experience editing short-form video content
• Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, or similar platforms
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Interest in culture, community-building, storytelling, or the arts

Commitment

• A few flexible hours per week
• Fully remote
• Volunteer position
