    About Arts4Schools

    Arts4Schools is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing arts-integrated education programs into schools and communities. As we approach our 10th Anniversary, we are rebuilding and strengthening our organization to expand our impact and serve more students through literacy, arts education, and enrichment programming.

    We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Administrative Assistant who wants to gain nonprofit leadership experience while helping a growing organization stay organized and effective.

    Position Summary

    The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will work directly with the Executive Director to support daily operations, maintain organization, coordinate communications, and help keep projects moving forward.

    This position is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, executive support, project coordination, or office management.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and maintain calendars and schedules
    • Schedule appointments and meetings
    • Make and return phone calls on behalf of the organization
    • Assist with email management and correspondence
    • Maintain records, files, and organizational documents
    • Help track projects and deadlines
    • Coordinate communication with volunteers, schools, and community partners
    • Attend virtual team meetings when available
    • Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director

    Qualifications

    • Located in the United States preferred
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Professional phone and email etiquette
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
    • Detail-oriented and dependable
    • Self-starter who can work independently
    • Previous administrative or executive assistant experience is helpful but not required

    Time Commitment

    • 5–10 hours per week
