    We are seeking a Grants Manager to identify funding opportunities, develop strong proposals, and secure the resources needed to expand access to fine arts and music education.

    Because impact doesn’t scale without funding.

    And funding doesn’t happen without strategy.

    The Role

    This role is responsible for leading the organization’s grant strategy, writing, and submission process.

    You will identify opportunities, manage the grant pipeline, and develop proposals that clearly communicate our mission, impact, and vision.

    You are not just writing grants.

    You are building the funding engine behind the organization.

    This role operates at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and development, ensuring the organization has the resources to grow and sustain its impact.

    What You’ll Own

    Grant Strategy & Pipeline Development

      • Identify and evaluate grant opportunities
      • Build and manage a structured grant pipeline
      • Align opportunities with organizational priorities

    Grant Writing & Proposal Development

      • Lead the development of:
      • Grant proposals
      • Letters of inquiry (LOIs)
      • Supporting documentation
      • Clearly communicate mission, impact, and outcomes

    Submission & Deadline Management

      • Track grant deadlines and requirements
      • Ensure timely and complete submissions
      • Maintain organization and accuracy

    Research & Opportunity Identification

      • Research foundations, organizations, and funding sources
      • Identify new opportunities for funding
      • Stay informed on relevant grant programs

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

      • Partner with:
      • Programs team
      • Finance team
      • Leadership
      • Gather data, metrics, and narratives for proposals

    Reporting & Compliance Support

      • Assist in tracking grant outcomes and requirements
      • Support reporting as needed
      • Ensure alignment with grant expectations

    Documentation & Tracking

      • Maintain grant records, submissions, and statuses
      • Track outcomes and funding progress
      • Ensure visibility into pipeline performance

    Storytelling & Impact Communication

      • Translate organizational work into compelling narratives
      • Highlight measurable outcomes and impact
      • Strengthen the organization’s funding case

    Process Development & Standardization

      • Build and improve grant writing processes
      • Create templates and reusable materials
      • Ensure consistency and quality

    Continuous Improvement

      • Identify ways to improve success rates
      • Refine grant strategy and approach
      • Strengthen long-term funding efforts

    Who This Is For

      • Has strong writing and research skills

    Qualifications

    Required

      • 3–5 years of experience in:
      • Grant writing
      • Development
      • Fundraising or similar roles
      • Strong writing and communication skills
      • Experience managing deadlines and multiple submissions

    Preferred

      • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
      • Experience with grant research tools
      • Experience in remote teams

    Commitment

      • 10–15 hours per week
      • Flexible schedule (aligned to grant deadlines)
      • Participation in grant and development discussions required
      • Fully remote
