Description
Salix Compass is a fiscally sponsored nonprofit initiative helping patients and clinics navigate the administrative barriers that delay access to life-saving medications. We are recruiting a board member who wants to help guide a nationwide mission focused on reducing administrative burden, improving medication access, and supporting sustainable nonprofit growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide governance, strategic oversight, and mission alignment.
- Support fundraising, partnerships, and credibility-building.
- Help review board-level decisions and organizational priorities.
- Attend regular board meetings and occasional working sessions.
Time commitment
- About 4 quarterly meetings per year.
- 1 committee or check-in call per month as needed.
- Occasional email review between meetings.
Qualifications
- Interest in healthcare access, nonprofit governance, or systems change.
- Ability to think strategically and communicate clearly.
- Board, nonprofit, healthcare, compliance, or operations experience is helpful.
- Willingness to support a mission-driven, early-stage organization.
